Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict Held in London PDF Print



The Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict took place in London on 10 – 13 June 2014. This was the biggest global meeting on this issue ever convened.

Foreign Secretary William Hague co-chaired the summit with Angelina Jolie, Special Envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

The summit welcomed 100 countries and over 900 experts, NGOs, survivors, faith leaders, and international organizations from across the world to share their commitment to end sexual violence in conflict.

During the summit a new International Protocol with international standards for documenting and investigating sexual violence in conflict zones was launched.
