Business skills training for vulnerable women and youth

Between February and March 2019 CISP in collaboration with HIWA organized a business skills training for vulnerable women and youth in Mogadishu, with the support of the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development (AICS) and EU.  The main objective of the training was to provide basic business management and tailoring skills to 30 vulnerable beneficiaries in order to enable them to generate sustainable income to support the needs of their families. The participants were selected among most vulnerable groups as IDPs, minorities and unemployed youth. The training duration was 16 days and entailed two components: 

  1. provision of basic business management skills to enable them to handle the business after the phase out of the project.
  2. provision of tailoring skills training that enable them work independently.
