GEC-T is intended to focus on learning, transition and sustainability, by targeting 31,411 direct beneficiaries and 98,232 indirect beneficiaries working with 172 target primary schools and 56 secondary schools. CISP is committed to continue educating Somali girls in Mogadishu and other States in the country in order ensure girls are educated and can complete their education.

I am from IDP and poor family; my parents were not able to pay the school fees and I was likely to drop out from the school due to lack of finance, but fortunately CISP gave me scholarship to continue my learning”.

One morning, CEC members from the school came to our home and said my Mum: “your daughter will continue her learning and we identified her to be in list of the students who will be supported by CISP. I wanted to continue my learning. Mum smiled back to me and gave me hug by telling me that I am lucky girl, and I will go back to my school. I hope to complete my learning and graduate from the secondary school and go to a university”.
