Graduation Ceremony and Start up Kits Distribution

On June 6, 2024, Olad TVET Center organized a grand graduation ceremony and start-up kits distribution. Around 200 participants, including TVET Managers, Instructors, Members of Parliament from Galmudug State, CISP Staff, CECs, TVET Graduates and other distinguished guests, were invited to witness and celebrate this special day.

The event started with opening remarks from Abdukadir Mohamed, the TVET Manager. He highlighted the graduates' learning journey and the courses they completed to enhance their skills and employability.

"This ceremony is a culmination of the graduates' learning journey and their dedication to acquiring new skills. We are proud of their achievements and the courses we provided during their learning period to equip them with the necessary knowledge to succeed in their chosen fields."

CISP's Education Manager Mr. Mohamed Haji Nur congratulated the TVET learners on their commitment and hard work. "The SETS II Project funded by the EU and implemented by CISP, provides you with this valuable opportunity, and today, we hope that these graduates benefit from the skills and find employment in the marketplace to make significant contributions to their communities."

Farhia Abdullahi Sheekhdoon added, "This is a moment of immense hope as we witness the graduation of a significant number of individuals from the Olad TVET Center. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates. The skills you have acquired here will be the foundation of your success.”

The start-up kits included tools and equipment relevant to their respective fields of study, enabling them to establish their own businesses and become self-reliant. These kits are a testament to the commitment of the TVET Center and CISP in nurturing entrepreneurship and empowering the graduates.

Shandheye, a learner and mother of 8 appreciated the startup kits saying, "Receiving the start-up kit is a dream come true. It provides me with the tools I need to kick start my career and start my own business in my IDP camp here in Abudwak. I am grateful to the TVET Center and CISP for their support and opportunity they provided us.”

The graduates, adorned in their graduation gowns and caps, exchanged congratulatory hugs, handshakes, and words of encouragement with their peers, instructors, and loved ones as the event concluded.
